Planning Permission

Planning permission not normally required

Planning permission for your Garden Studio is not normally required, saving you time and hassle in the creation of your ideal garden room.

We are able to meet the criteria to avoid planning permission by designing your Garden Studio with a maximum external height of 2.5m. So long as we adhere to a 2.5m maximum height, your garden studio can be built as close as 400mm to a boundary.

You may need to get in touch with your local planning authority if you live in a listed building, apartment, maisonette or ‘area of outstanding natural beauty’ to apply for approval.

Building regulations approval is not required for any Garden Studio as our buildings do not exceed 30m² internally.
